The proceedings of SAC 2009, to appear in Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series as volume number 5867, are now available online.  Information about the volume can be found here, and the content through Springerlink can be found here.

The Workshop on Selected Areas in Cryptography (SAC) is an annual conference dedicated to specific themes in the area of cryptographic system design and analysis.

SAC 2009 will take place on August 13-14, 2009, at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  The lectures will take place in Science Theatre 143 (please click here for a campus map).

In cooperation with the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR).

Paper submission for SAC 2009 is now closed.  The list of accepted papers is available here.

The themes of the workshop are:

  • Design and analysis of symmetric key primitives and cryptosystems,including block and stream ciphers, hash functions, and MAC algorithms.
  • Efficient implementations of symmetric and public key algorithms.
  • Mathematical and algorithmic aspects of applied cryptology.
  • Privacy enhancing cryptographic systems.
